1.Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what information BGC Panel collects, how it is used, and how it is stored. By using the panel or linking your Roblox account through Roblox OAuth, you agree to the practices described below.

2.Information We Collect

When you register or link accounts to BGC Panel we collect:

• Email address and chosen username (for panel login)
• Discord user ID and username (when you link via Discord OAuth)
• Roblox user ID, username, and public group memberships (when you link via Roblox OAuth)
• Avatar headshot URL (public Roblox/Discord image)
• Activity within the panel: saved background checks, notes, tickets, and messages you create

We do not collect Roblox passwords, payment data, or any private information beyond what Roblox OAuth's openid and profile scopes return.

3.How We Use This Information

• To verify that your panel account belongs to a real Roblox/Discord user
• To assign appropriate access tiers and Discord roles based on your group membership
• To display your username and avatar within the panel interface
• To run background checks and store their results for authorized reviewers

4.Data Storage

All data is stored on our own server infrastructure. Background check results, saved checks, notes, and account links are kept in private databases accessible only to authenticated panel users with the appropriate permission tier.

5.Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties. Public Roblox data (username, group memberships, badges) shown inside the panel is fetched from Roblox's public APIs and remains visible only to authorized panel users.

6.Third-Party Services

The panel relies on the following services to operate:

• Roblox OAuth and public APIs: used for account verification, username lookups, and fetching public group memberships and badge data
• Discord OAuth and Bot API: used for linking your Discord account to your panel profile and syncing your access roles in the community server
• Google Cloud Vision: used for the OCR tool that reads player names and stats from leaderboard screenshots you upload
• Google Gemini: used for the in-panel AI assistant that helps summarize and analyze background check data
• Trello public boards: used for fetching the community's public blacklist and law records
• Resend: used for sending account verification and password reset emails

7.Data Retention & Deletion

You can request deletion of your panel account and all associated data at any time by contacting an administrator or using the in-panel account deletion option. Once deleted, your account, linked Roblox/Discord IDs, and personal notes are removed from our systems.

8.Security

Passwords are hashed before storage. Sessions use signed cookies and HTTPS in production. We take reasonable measures to protect your data but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

9.Children's Privacy

BGC Panel is not directed at users under 13. If you believe a minor has registered, contact an administrator and the account will be removed.

10.Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the panel evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
